I know the sound system is the Z has been discussed in great detail. In looking through the archives numerous postings address the issue. In trying to keep the Bose enclosures as resonant ehancers (I know Bose tunes their systems and nothing I do will match that). Does anyone know the distance from the speaker mounting flange to the back housing of the box? Alternatively, the distance (which I guess will be smaller) from the surface of an MDF board (when used as replacement for the face of the Bose enclosure for ease of mounting a larger speaker) to the back of the enclosure?
I want to order speakers to have at hand in order to minimize the car's down time. It is almost winter but here in GA it is insignificant when it comes to snow, salt and car storage.
